When and where is the convention taking place?
ACCE Convention 2012 will take place in Louisville, KY, at the Kentucky International Convention Center (221 Fourth Street, Louisville, KY 40202). The Convention starts on Wednesday, August 1, 2012, and concludes on Saturday, August 4, 2012.

Do I have to register in advance for the educational workshops?
No, you will have time to decide onsite, however it’s a good idea to review the website and the brochure beforehand, so you know what workshops are being offered.
Is there an extra charge for the educational workshops?
No, all workshops are included in your registration fee. Even if you register for one day, you are eligible to attend all workshops for that day.
I've already registered but never received a confirmation. What should I do?
If you have not received an email confirmation of your convention registration from ACCE within 5-7 business days, please email April Foster
or call ACCE at 1-800-394-2223.
How can I cancel my convention registration and get a refund?
Fill out the Cancellation Form and fax it to the attention of April Foster at (703) 212-9512.
Please use a separate Cancellation Form for each new refund request. If the Cancellation Form is received on or before June 21, 2012, ACCE will refund the meeting registration amount minus a $50 processing fee. After June 21, 2012, all submitted cancellation forms will receive a 50% refund minus a $50 processing fee. Because of meal guarantees, no refunds will be issued after July 9, 2012. *Please note that registration cancellations do not automatically cancel a hotel reservation. You are responsible for cancelling your own hotel reservations if you decide not to attend the convention.
I've registered for the convention, but unexpectedly can't go! Can I send someone in my place?
Yes, you may send someone in your place. Simply email or fax a Registration Change Form to the attention of April Foster at (703) 212-9512. Complete this form with your substitute's information and submit it with a copy of your initial registration form.
Can my spouse attend the Annual Convention?
Yes! Your spouse can take advantage of our single day registration which costs $395 and includes admission to all of the activities that take place on the day you choose to attend with the exception of tours, trips, and the fun run/walk. Tickets for these events must be purchased separately as they are not included in the registration price. Discounts are not valid for single day registrations.
Do I have to be a member of ACCE to attend?
No, an ACCE membership is not a requirement but ACCE members do receive a significant discount. For more information on ACCE membership, please contact Carly Dubernas, Member Development Manager at (703) 998-3525.
Will you check badges at the door of the Commerce of Chambers Exhibit Hall?
Yes, all registered attendees are expected to show their badge upon entering the Commerce of Chambers Exhibit Hall.
May I bring my spouse and children into the Commerce of Chambers Exhibit Hall?
Spouses must be registered for the convention in order to visit the exhibit hall. For insurance reasons, children under the age of 16 are prohibited from the exhibit hall.

Do the hotels have smoking rooms?
The hotels are smoke-free.
Are there business centers in the convention hotels?
Yes, the hotels have business centers for your convenience.
Are there ATM machines in the hotels?
There is an ATM located by the front desk in the hotel lobby.
Will the hotel be accessible for persons with disabilities?
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was enacted to ensure that persons with disabilities are afforded the same opportunities to participate in American society, as all persons. The hotel is highly accessible according to the spirit and intent of ADA. As a “Public Assembly Facility” the convention hotels are responsible for permanent building access accommodations such as (but not limited to) wheelchair ramps, elevator standards, door width standards and restroom accessibility.
How do I find out if someone has registered for the Annual Convention?

We encourage you to dress casually and comfortably during all convention events. Remember that meeting rooms tend to be cool, so bring a sweater or jacket. The Awards Presentation and Celebration Dinner are business professional or cocktail attire. Casual wear will be acceptable for Friday evening’s Convention Party.
Will you provide hard copies of speaker handouts or attendee directories?
ACCE wants to balance our attendees' need for hard copy versions of the attendee directory and workshop handouts with our commitment to minimize the environmental impact of our meeting. A limited number of attendee directories (listing those registered by July 9) and handouts will be available, but we invite you to help us reduce waste by opting to access these materials electronically. The latest attendee directory and handouts will be available on www.acce.org before, during and after the convention so that convention registrants can download them to a PDA or print them at their convenience. We hope you'll help us reduce the use of paper and energy!
What is the climate like in Louisville?
The average temperature in August is 85° Fahrenheit.
Louisville’s professional taxi cab drivers know the city's streets like the back of their hands. It is easiest way to hail a cab is at the airport or at the hotel. ACCE will provide transportation to all events that are not within walking distance of the hotel.

Where is the Registration Desk?
It will be at the Dockside Lobby in the convention center.
What happens if I lose my badge at the Convention?
Please go to the ACCE Registration Desk and ask for a replacement badge. It can take up to an hour to process new badges, so you may need to go to the Registration Desk at a later time to pick it up. Your name badge is mandatory for admission to all of the events.
