What meals are covered with a full convention registration?

Tuesday: Welcome Party (light hors d’oeuvres)

Wednesday: Buffet Breakfast, Breaks, Lunch Buffet

Thursday: Buffet Breakfast, Breaks, Lunch Buffet

When and where is the convention taking place? 

ACCE's 2016 Convention takes place August 9–12 in Savannah, Ga. All sessions take place at Savannah’s International Trade and Convention Center (1 International Drive), unless otherwise noted.

Where can I get the up-to-date schedule of events for the convention?

Visit the General Schedule page for the most up-to-date listing of convention events. Be on the lookout for the launch of the convention app (coming soon), which will also contain the most up-to-date information.

Where can I get the details on the workshops offered at the convention?

Once the workshop sessions are finalized, they will be posted here on the convention website under the "Programming" tab.

Do I have to register in advance for the educational workshops?

No, you will have time to decide onsite, however it’s a good idea to review the website and the program brochure (due out in late May) beforehand, so you know what workshops are being offered.

Is there an extra charge for the educational workshops?

No, all workshops are included in your registration fee.  Even if you register for one day, you are eligible to attend all workshops for that day.

Do I have to be a member of ACCE to attend?

No, an ACCE membership is not a requirement but ACCE members do receive a significant discount.  For more information on ACCE membership, please contact Dana Ketterling, ACCE's Resource Development Officer, at (703) 861-9382 or

Will you check badges at the door of the Expo Hall?

Yes, all registered attendees are expected to show their badge upon entering the Expo Hall.

May I bring my spouse and children into the Expo Hall?

Spouses must be registered for the convention in order to visit the Expo Hall.  For insurance reasons, children under the age of 16 are prohibited from the Expo Hall.

Where do I stay?

You may select from any of these four convention hotels with which we've negotiated a discounted rate for the duration of the convention. Negotiated hotel rates at these hotels expire July 18, 2016. To make reservations, please book your hotel via the Pass Key Site.

Do the hotels have smoking rooms?

The hotels are smoke-free. 

Are there business centers in the convention hotels?

Yes, the hotels have business centers for your convenience.

Are there ATM machines in the hotels?

There are ATMs located in the hotel lobbies.

Will the hotel be accessible for persons with disabilities?

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was enacted to ensure that persons with disabilities are afforded the same opportunities to participate in American society, as all persons.  The hotel is highly accessible according to the spirit and intent of ADA. As a “Public Assembly Facility” the convention hotels are responsible for permanent building access accommodations such as (but not limited to) wheelchair ramps, elevator standards, door width standards and restroom accessibility.

What should I wear?

Considering that Savannah's average air temperature in August is 89 degrees Fahrenheit, we encourage you to dress casually and comfortably during all convention events.  Remember that meeting rooms tend to be cool, so bring a sweater or jacket. The Awards Show calls for business professional or cocktail attire. Casual wear will be acceptable for the Welcome Party.

Will you provide hard copies of speaker handouts or attendee directories?

ACCE wants to balance our attendees' need for hard copy versions of the attendee directory and workshop handouts with our commitment to minimize the environmental impact of our meeting. A limited number of attendee directories (listing those registered by July 15) and handouts will be available, but we invite you to help us reduce waste by opting to access these materials electronically. The latest attendee directory and handouts will be available on as well as the convention app so that attendees can download them to a PDA or print them at their convenience. We hope you'll help us reduce the use of paper and energy!

When is registration open?

Where is the Registration Desk?

The Registration Desk will be at the International Trade and Convention Center (1 International Dr.), located on the north bank of the Savannah River, directly across from the historic district. Complimentary water taxis connect the convention center to the historic district..

What happens if I lose my badge at the Convention?

Please go to the ACCE Registration Desk and ask for a replacement badge. It can take up to an hour to process new badges, so you may need to go to the Registration Desk at a later time to pick it up. Your name badge is mandatory for admission to all of the events.
